Referral Partner Guide

This guide is the operating handbook for approved referral partners. It explains how The Bitcoin Adviser referral program works, how referrals are tracked, how partner compensation works, and the standards we expect when you introduce prospects to collaborative security.

10% Revenue Share For as long as client remains active
Since 2016 Zero satoshis lost
2-of-3 Multisig No single party can move funds alone

How you get set up

Becoming an active referral partner follows a clear path. You do not publish your own landing page.

2 · Review

Our team reviews your application and confirms whether you are a fit for the program.

3 · Agreement

If you are not already on our client legal path, you sign a referral partner agreement before activation.

4 · Your page goes live

We publish your personalised landing page and send you the live URL (and a QR code when issued). Share that URL only.

Approved-partner checklist

Once you are approved and your landing page is live, use this checklist:

Confirm your live page URL (and QR if issued). Keep that link somewhere easy to share.
Share only your page with prospects. Do not send them through the main site or another partner’s page if you want the referral attributed to you.
Use approved messaging from this guide when you introduce people to collaborative security.
Stay available if your referrals have questions while our team handles the onboarding conversation.
Provide wallet and 100-point ID when asked for payments. These are required for payout, not for being an active partner.

What clients receive

When you refer someone to The Bitcoin Adviser, they gain access to:

  • Collaborative 2-of-3 multisig security — a self-custody structure where the client remains a key holder and no single party can move funds alone.
  • Inheritance and recovery planning — so holdings can be passed on or recovered if needed.
  • Specialist support for meaningful Bitcoin holdings — structure that removes single points of failure while keeping clients in control.

How referrals are tracked

Your role is to introduce the right people; we handle onboarding and delivery. Attribution depends on prospects contacting us through your personalised landing page.

Personalised landing page

You receive a unique URL (e.g. thebitcoinadviser.com/referrers/your-name). When prospects visit that page and contact us through it—especially via the enquiry form on the page—they are attributed to you. Attribution is handled by your page; you do not enter referral codes yourself.

First touch counts. If someone reaches us through the main site or another partner’s page first, that path may win attribution. Always share your own page.

What counts as a successful referral

A successful referral is one that results in a new client contract with The Bitcoin Adviser. Only successful referrals generate partner compensation. We will notify you when a referral becomes a client; we respect confidentiality so we may not share detailed client information.

Quick steps

1 · Share your page

Send your landing page URL to prospects who could benefit from collaborative security and recovery planning.

2 · They contact us via your page

When they get in touch through your page’s form (or other contacts on that page), they’re attributed to you.

3 · We take it from there

Our team handles the conversation, onboarding, and delivery. You receive compensation when they become an active client.

FAQ

What happens after a prospect contacts you through my page?

Our team reaches out to learn about their needs and whether we can help. We'll notify you when they become a client.

How is my referral tracked?

Through your landing page. When they visit your page and contact us through it, the enquiry is attributed to you automatically. You do not need to enter a code.

Who do I contact with questions?

Email referral@thebitcoinadviser.com. We aim to respond within 24 business hours.

Compensation and Incentives

We value our referral partners and reward successful introductions with recurring referral revenue.

Referral revenue share

For each successful referral (a new client contract with The Bitcoin Adviser), we pay you 10% of the fees we receive from that client. This revenue share continues for as long as the referred client remains active with us—paid quarterly, at the end of the month following each quarter.

Payments are made in Bitcoin to a wallet you provide. Full details are in your Referral Partner Agreement.

Note: Revenue share continues until the referral agreement is terminated, or The Bitcoin Adviser's business is closed or sold. Payout setup (Bitcoin wallet and 100 points of identification under Australian law) is separate from becoming an active partner—missing ID or wallet holds up payments, not your ability to refer. See the AFP 100 Point Checklist.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Not using your landing page

If prospects contact us via the main site or another partner’s page first, we may not attribute them to you. Always share your personalised landing page URL.

Being too pushy

You're helping, not selling. Respect disinterest; focus on people who genuinely want help securing meaningful holdings.

Not following up

Stay in touch after a referral so they can ask questions. Your involvement helps conversion.

Making promises you can't keep

Don't promise outcomes, timelines, or results. Introduce and support; let our team handle commitments.

Not understanding our services

Read our materials and understand collaborative security before referring so you can explain accurately.

Delaying ID for payments

Provide the required 100 points of identification and wallet promptly when asked; delays hold up payouts, not your status as an active partner.
